用来表示“推断，表示不确定，或者缓和语气，客气”

常见用法：

1. seem后常常跟（to be）形容词，名词等：

You seem very silent today.what's the matter?

你今天看起来很沉默，怎么了？

She did not seem afraid at all.

她似乎一点也不害怕。

The children always seem to be hungry.

孩子们似乎总是饿。

The trip seemed rather boring for a young boy.

对一个小男孩来说，这次旅行似乎很无聊。

There seem to be fewer tourists around this year.

2. seem后也常常跟动词不定式to do：
